And he’s doing a little bit of hockey on day one. Tell me about the Jersey. Tell me why we’re here and what you’re doing. I don’t know. We just got off that long flight. I am just really excited. Tablo, um, has a huge network literally. In addition, they hooked us up with some amazing gear for the Vegas Golden Knights and their youth players, who’ll be hitting the ice soon. We’re even planning to race them—though let’s be honest, we’ll probably lose!

All in all, it was just a great time to come out, hang with the crew, and score a cool jersey Uh, they put my name on it. Las Vegas Motor Speedway never disappoints, and this year’s NASCAR Las Vegas race brought even more energy to the Strip. Exploring the Las Vegas NASCAR race 2025s Motor Speedway

as practice is coming up here at Las Vegas. I figured we had to hit the gift shop. See what they have this week as we’re getting the full Las Vegas NASCAR race 2025 experience this week.

Practice and Qualifying: Laying the Groundwork

Deputy one is Ryan Ellis.

Three top 20 finishes this year for DGM, Mario Goslin, Jesse Ouje, partnering with this team. Again, we’re getting down to the end of practice. Only three minutes to go in this session. All these tires are the worst. They’re gonna be the whole time, but we see him still work in the bottom, which, which I find interesting, and that’s a route for practice.

It’s now time for. Qualifying. This is where we’ll truly get to see the speed in the car and see where we’re at for tomorrow, which is a great baseline. It’s always important to start up front. I’m here with Jesse. How’s it been with DGM this weekend here at the Las Vegas NASCAR race 2025? Walk me through the process and what it means being at the track.

Track Talk: Weather, Tires, and Strategy

For this weekend. No, it’s good. I mean, Vegas is always fun. We got Josh here, Ryan, with the, uh, 71. Um, both cars are looking pretty solid. I think we’re gonna have a good qualifying here in just a moment. But, um, you know, it’s always a fun place. It’s cold this weekend, which is kind of crazy because weather on the west coast has kind of been up and down.

It’s been like nineties just a few weeks ago now it’s like 50, so it’s all over the place. But, but cool weather is good for these cars. It’s good for the motors, it’s good for horsepower. It’s also good for tires for keeping them from getting overheated because we all know how it is later in the year.

Sometimes we can be like 90, a hundred degrees out here. But um, yeah, I think both drivers are ready to go for this weekend. I’m looking forward to watching them on track. It should be pretty fun. Vegas always puts off pretty good racing for the most part. I think you can probably get a little bit wild at the end.

Biggest thing is just staying in it, you know, avoiding the crap and just being there at the end. So I think both guys are gonna do good, but

Family, Focus, and Fast Laps

he’s three tenths ahead of second place right now, and I think that’s gonna be a pretty good laugh. He put up. I think he’ll be happy with that. Ryan Ellison’s up sixth.

Here’s Beki in the 91 teammate. Ryan Ellis is 13 31 28 Beki top 15. Earlier this season at Daytona, a new dad who’s got some late nights at home during the week helping with a new baby, and he’s one of those drivers that probably got a lot of sleep in Las Vegas because of the odd hours at home. Yeah, he’s probably relieved to come to the racetrack and have to work harder knowing that he can get a, a full night’s sleep.

That is, that’s tough. Being a new parent. He’s right there with his teammate. 31 19 13th for Bellick, and that’s a wrap for qualified. It looks like We got a couple hot rods for tomorrow, so that has. Be excited for Vegas. My goodness. Day number one is complete in Las Vegas.

Fans, Food, and Fun at the Speedway

the Las Vegas. fans have been amazing. You see all behind me. So I heard this is the party at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. As you can see, they are set off. Tell me a little bit about what goes on here because this is wild. I see nothing like this all weekend. There you go. What we do is we kind of set up with some carnival games.

We have some fun stuff. Uh, a little ring on the string games over there. Old carnival game from when I was a child. This bottle up. Very challenging, but if you have patience and good skills, you, you have a good shot to do it. Over here is a little ladder ball game, so we get some, uh, tournament style stuff.

Some fun playing and fun things going on, uh, coming through over this way. And since we have so many people around, we have our own little kissing booth here, a kissing booth, so people get to enjoy it. How crazy does it get down here all the week, weekend. What always drives it? Oh, we have some fun down here and, uh, security have visit us a few times just to make sure we’re enjoying ourselves.

Final Preparations and Race Drama

I cannot get over these views on the rooftops. You got bar stools here. You got a tv, you got a perfect view of the back straightaway. Isn’t this cool? About as good as you can guess? How, how many times have you been to Las Vegas? Uh, about 12 years. 12 years. That is nuts. What keeps you coming back? Uh, just the friends and the people.

Whoa. Y’all get one every year? That is crazy. Except the covid year when they didn’t produce it. Wow. So if you don’t know the track does promo die cast every single year and they have one dating all the way back to 2003 all the way till this year. So this is like best seat in the house. I’m on top of one of the RVs and turn number two at Las Vegas over Speedway.

There is a TV up here. There is bar stools, a table. We got a little bit of everything mad,

so you never know what you’re gonna find here. On the infield of Las Vegas, we found a dead guy. Woo. That is looking good. Las Vegas.

Josh Icky’s Climb From the Back: Las Vegas NASCAR race 2025 Race Day Strategy and Stage One Drama

So Josh icky coming from the back of the field today. How’s it gonna be dropping to the front? I know it’s gonna be tough, it’s gonna be challenging, but Vegas is probably gonna be a good track for you today. Yeah. How’s it get crashed into my Ellis? It’s uh, it’s not ideal to. To start where we’re starting.

Uh, I got a lot of dirty air, um, but we’ll make the best of it, move forward, keep our nose clean all day and hopefully be there then.

Alright. What’s the game plan to get to the front? Go there quickly. We already texted a few guys we’re coming. So exactly their choice, what to do with that information, I guess. How do you feel about the car today? It’s really good. Yeah. So just gotta do all I can to not, not screw it. Qualify yesterday and, uh, move forward quickly because we wanna make sure we stay in the lead lap and, um, gotta make passes efficiently and quickly right off the bat.

Drive Smart Superfans and Stage One Mayhem Kick Off Vegas Weekend

Good luck. The green flag is officially waving from Las Vegas early on. Both Josh Icky and Ryan Ellis are charging hard inside the top 25. Look out because on Joe. Is lap number two. We already have a stack up. The green flag is back flying. Feedback wise, just anything I do over the bump knocks at like an eight outta 10 sight. While we watched Ryan Ellis chase down spots in the top 20, it’s fascinating to compare NASCAR stats to everyday US vehicle owner behavior. Both worlds are driven by speed, performance, and reliability—just on very different roads.

Josh Mulkey will unfortunately cut down a tire. Oh, sorry about that. It’s super unpredictable still. Like I didn’t push too hard right there, but it’s just unpredictable. Like I’m, I’m still feel like I’m tight in the center. On throttle as stage number one comes to an end. It was officially time to hit pit road.

Race Wrap-Up: Lessons from Las Vegas

The green flag is waving. The race is. On for stage two, all my tightness is from that one third point to the fence. Um, so I feel like we’re just burning the front up. Driving in is decent, maybe a little bit free on entry, but just in the center of the corner. I’m tight, tight and then I pick up throttle.

From Vegas to Miami: Drive Smart Recaps a Challenging Finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

In this week’s NASCAR race recap, DS Auto breaks down the wildest moments from Las Vegas—highlighting the intense stage battles, driver strategies, and of course, the dramatic wrecks that prove why our 24/7 towing support is always on call. Josh Bulley went on to finish in the 31st position. It wasn’t the day we wanted, but the team held on tight.
