Why Bristol is Truley “The Last Great Colosseum” | Weekend Breakdown
🏁 Welcome to Bristol Motor Speedway
Welcome to Bristol Motor Speedway. Today we got C.J. McCocklin and Ryan Ellis. Going at it, going to battle. It’s gonna be a fun day. We got practice qualifying and the race coming up. I love this track. It is one of the smallest tracks on the circuit and also one of the toughest. So enjoy the concept from Bristol.
So I’m here at C.J. McCocklin to take me to the left through Bristol Motor Speedway. So Bristol is like a washing machine, right? It’s fast. Bristol Motor Speedway with Ryan Ellis & CJ McLaughlin—high-speed racing, fan zone fun, pranks & DriveSmart perks all in one epic day!
We got 15 second, five times, 16 seconds, 15 seconds, five times. Fourth gear coming across the start finish line. There’s a weather guard sign that’s like my marker. I dive the car into the corner, let off the gas, flip the throttle, and aim for the yellow line. Bristol recap with Ryan Ellis and CJ McLaughlin is coming to you with all the NASCAR highlights.
Inside the Intensity of Bristol: Cornering Techniques and Track Feel in Bristol Motor Speedway
Then I crank in a bunch of wheel to stay tight through the turn. It’s fighting all of G-forces. Right in the center of the corner, there’s on the outside, there’s a great call scene that’s like dead center of the corner, right? I’m like working my way back to the gas. I’m also keeping my left front right on the yellow line. The P.J.1 is right down there on the yellow line. So that’s where the traction is. Then I start aiming as we’re coming off the corner. I start aiming, trying to get the car straight and pointed, right? I don’t want to be
pointed up towards the wall.
Mastering Bristol: What 16 Seconds Feels Like Behind the Wheel
I don’t want to point towards the infield. So I’m pointing again towards
the start finish line, go across the start finish line, move down to the next corner. So it’s
straight away for a half a second, corner for three seconds straight away for a half second.
That’s what it feels like anyways, right? It’s 16 seconds, but it feels like you’re on this
way for, and you’re on the gas for like maybe two seconds, but yeah, you’re in the corner,
just digging the whole time.

Garage Talk: Paint Schemes, Pranks, and Personality
Really good. 90% sure it goes with a dark e-letter, it’s just such a fluorescent degree. Maybe we should find out what looks like it, but my daughter is terrified of this guy here. She’s like, I don’t like him. He’s mean. So we did a good job. That’s a crazy pin scheme you have. So Ryan, somebody drew glasses on. Josh is a wasn’t him. So I asked Josh yeah, so I asked Josh so you’re saying, John, who do you think that? I believe, Josh, that he didn’t do it.
Who Drew the Glasses? The Mystery Behind the Bristol Motor Speedway Weekend Prank
I’m gonna say I’m gonna say CJ. Because it was on one of the weekends that he was here. Was he here for Miami? Anybody knows. Outside of whoever did it. Whoever did it, they did a good job. I looked good. Shit. Amazing. Okay, good.Josh, we were trying to get to the bottom of this. He says CJ probably did it. Dude, I think he did it himself. And I think he just screwed with us. Okay, I’m now 100% sure it’s Josh. No, I can tell you’re face. Okay, I can tell you’re face. No, okay. I knew it was that first. You gave it up with that smile. You’re getting all that. They really wasn’t. No, I remember. I don’t know. It really wasn’t. It’s not my story. It’s not my story.
Laughter, Memories, and Chaos: Behind the Scenes with the Drivers at Bristol Motor Speedway
I pin y’all against each other. What’s happening? I just think it’s funny that you believe it was me trying to smile. It’s also funny that you knew I’d assume it was you. Honestly, I don’t really like you. It’s a bit tricky to explain—I smiled because I found it funny, that’s all. Why do you smile? I don’t know.
I just thought like, did I have allergies? Yeah. It’s like the warmest day of the tree. It’s been about 40 degrees. Actually, warm around home. Yeah, pretty much. It’s still really dry here. Josh, I was a bend in a cup car this week. We miss you. I haven’t been in the cup car yet, so I don’t know.
You said it yesterday. Oh my God, you almost died. We almost lost him. I did that first. Yeah, I don’t know. You’re in the cup race here. I ran a lot of cup race. Several. A lot of cup race here in the XFINITY. It’s my place, just unpredictable without cold it is speaking. So I guess we’ll see what the tire wear does. Last year this race was really chaotic. The tire wear was massive. I’m actually hoping that happens again, but we’ll see right here with this Bristol recap.
Practice Recap: Speed, Strategy, and Challenges of Bristol Motor Speedway
It just gets rubbed up behind me. It’s time for practice. It’s time to hit the track. It’s time to see what we can do this weekend. What kind of speed is the floor that’s going to have is the big question. And that’s the wrap for practice. We officially ended on 24th and 38th. We’ve got a little bit of work to do, but hey, it’s going to be a long day. We’ve got so much more ahead and so much more opportunity on in a cool off line. We go. C.J. McLaughlin, driving the 91 this weekend from Mario Gaussian. Partnership.DGM. Jesse Wooji. Some of what you’re seeing is…

Qualifying at Bristol Motor Speedway Lap Times and Team Updates
We’ve seen the first lap be faster for some. We’ve seen the second lap be faster for some. And so that gets a little confusing when you go to qualify in your laps. I’m thinking, wait a second, it’s not a clear cut decision. What’s going to be the best lap? It means you kind of just have to go with what you feel on that out lap, of what the car has, what is capability, what is it?
It’s going to be a great time to win you and try to react as quick as you can because you’re starting to see that it is possible to go fastest on your first lap. C.J. the slowest of those that have taken time. 14th is where he slots in on the board. And that opening lap is going to be as quick as Kim. DGM. Ryan Ellis jumps from 14th to 11th. Lap 1 to lap 2.It was a loco. Puffing. Is that what you’re going to call it? I was just going, I don’t know. I was trying at Bristol.
Bristol Fan Zone: Merch, Souvenirs, and Family Fun
We wrapped up qualifying. Now we’re going to head down and check out the fan zone. Hey, we might buy a couple souvenirs in the gift shop. Stick around for the ride. That behind me is one big shopping cart. Someone call a big fish. Check out this giant fish behind me. It’s actually a bounce house.
The best post shop area is all a big setup for the kids. His Bristol baby is a slogan that
Dale Earnard Jr. made famous when he won the Bristol Night Race. For all my diecast car collectors out there, there is a number 91 DGM guard that just dropped this week. And that is Kyle Weatherman’s 2024 My Radar Camaro. Now this even has the drive smart logos on it. My mission now is to go find it so I can buy one 2 and 8 time Mr. Ellis. What do you think about it? I’m hyped up. It’s one of the greatest landscapes I’ve seen here in Brazil.
I mean, it doesn’t get much better than that. They’ve got great spokesmen. They’ve got great colors.
It’s a great product. And they knocked it out the park here. Hopefully Ryan Ellis will have himself on Hell of a Ronda night. So we’re boot headed. Tell me about the pace team this week. What are you doing here at 4.0? Dude, it’s camo. You know I can’t stay away from the camo. It’s the best thing you can do.
Got my nifty little microphone here. It’s the best car on track. I mean, how could you not root for a four-loco car, let alone a camo four-loco car? So we’ll see what it does. Starting 24th.
We’re going forward. What’s the game pulling to get to the front? Uh, what’s the bottom? Use my bumper. Ryan, CJ said he’d use it in his bumper to get to the front. What’s your game pulling out? I guess not being a head of CJ. Isn’t that why they’re calling crazy CJ? I don’t know. There we go. We’re going to the front. What’s your game pulling out? I guess not being a head of CJ. Isn’t that why they’re calling crazy CJ? I don’t know. We got two CJMs standing next year. That’s what’s going on in my next video. I’m going to move forward. I can’t really play around here.
Here is the 41 Rain & White Champion flag for the heonis feet for the 1441 Ford 5th versatile 5th and he does stage two, Going into the dominant high. How good is this guy been? He’s leading 100, 56 left ahead Bombinating win Kyle Larson. He is really an interestor.
Bristol Motor Speedway Race Recap: Final Results and Looking Ahead
And that’s a wrap for Bristol 27th and 33rd. Not the result we wanted but we got Rockingham coming up next which is going to be a big one. Ryan is very confident going into that one and Talladega immediately afterwards. We got two weeks of where we could potentially win. So let’s get it on a Rockingham or to the next episode. Hope you all enjoyed. Hello. I don’t know how was it? Long race. I don’t know. Another normal Bristol race. I don’t know if that’s just the cold. Once the group moved up where it normally is, the race here is pretty good. It just took a long time to really get to the wall.
I wish you got there sooner to come here. It was really good. Yes, I overall found some fun things to feel like a little bad once they’ve not a good place to stay. So those are our off days. I think it’s not bad. Also Rockingham. Oh yeah. Hope it’s already there. And then pain. That’s how it is. I think it’s going to be a winner. Oh yeah. It’s going to be really good or really bad.
